Dominique Lerma, a Hollywood-bred, internationally published makeup artist and beauty educator, is known for her ability to create flawless complexions and innovative beauty looks. “I was initially inspired by Spring, a transition into the summer months, and what came to mind is that everything is in bloom, colorful, and fresh. I have seen an influx of pastel-colored looks grace the runways and editorials. I created a more approachable and everyday makeup look using a range of purple shades. I often think purple and taupes are the underdog of everyday shadow shades, but they are so versatile, complementary, and universally flattering. I personally love wearing a purple smoky eye because it pulls out a shade of honey in my brown eyes. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed!”

Small Shader:

MŌDA Totally Electric Eye Kit

Using the Small Shader from the MŌDA® 7PC Totally Electric Eye kit, apply a long-wearing cream primer on the lid, from the lash line to the brow bone.

Crease:

Next, use the Crease brush with a matte taupe shadow to carve out the crease, applying the shadow in a windshield wiper motion, then blending in smaller circles to diffuse extra shadow.

Pack a matte purple shadow onto the lid with the Small Shader brush again. Then, dip into a grape-colored shade with the Detail brush, packing the shadow into the outer corner of the eye in a “v” shape. Finally, mesh the two colors together with the Crease.

BMD-P801:

MŌDA Primatic Foundation Brush

Buff a CC or BB cream or lightweight foundation into the skin using the Prismatic Face Perfecting brush and spot conceal any imperfections with a brightening concealer.

BMD-185:

MŌDA Complexion Brush

Contour the perimeter of the face and blend until contour is diffused with the BMD-185 Complexion brush.

BMD-265:

MŌDA Highlight and Glow Brush

Use the Highlight & Glow brush to lightly set makeup along the T-zone, under the eyes, around the nose, and along the jawline with loose powder.

BMX-195:

MŌDA Pro Finish Brush

With the MŌDA® Pro Finish brush and a slightly glowy bronzer, warm up the face by dusting around the forehead and jawline, then lightly chisel the cheekbones. Use the same brush to warm up the apples of the cheeks by lightly dusting on a neutral rose blush.

Brow/Groomer:

Line the lower lash line with a black gel pencil. Then, use the Brow/Groomer brush with the grape shade from before and glide the shadow along the lower lash line, on top of the liner. Smoke two shades together by dipping into the taupe shadow and making small circular motions with the Detail brush.

Fine Liner:

To get a super precise line along the upper lash line, use the Fine Liner brush with a black gel liner. Then curl lashes and use 2 healthy coats of mascara for a voluminous and dramatic look.

BMD-235:

MŌDA Precision Contour

Highlight the Cupid’s bow, bridge of the nose, and cheekbones by gently pressing cream highlighter into the skin with the Precision Contour brush. For the cheekbones, highlight in a half moon shape starting right above the lowest point of the brows.

BMD-655:

MŌDA Precision Lip

Finish the look by lining your lips with the point of the lip brush and then apply a soft pink lipstick. Fill lips evenly, then apply a clear gloss. Use a finishing spray to get that final dewy glow!
